Scheduled Network Maintenance March 3rd

As part of our commitment to provide quality web hosting services, we have scheduled network maintenance to upgrade our core routers early next month. Please read the details below carefully:

Scheduled Date and Time:
Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 06:00 AM GMT with a work window through 09:00 AM GMT (01:00 AM EST with a work window through 04:00 AM EST)

Datacenter Location: Orlando – DC2 (pluto1.plutohosting.net)

Maintenance Type:
We will be upgrading our core routers in order to provide better network reliability, performance, and added capacity.

Estimated Downtime:
During this procedure we are not expecting any downtime but there is the chance of there being elevated latency to the server while our network re-routes. This latency will be sporadic and should not last outside of the three hour work window.

We do apologise for any inconvenience and ask that you please plan accordingly.

Full Migration to the Dedicated Server

Hello everyone,

This is an advance warning that we will be migrating everyone to our new dedicated server on the 28th December approximately between 12pm & 7pm GMT. During the migration no downtime is expected but data loss may be possible due to DNS cache as it can take anything up to 72 hours to fully update. In the event that you notice data loss, please Contact Us immediately as you will only have until the 30th December before the old network of servers are shut down completely.

Also, our nameservers will be changing to the following:

ns1.plutohosting.net – 72.29.82.151
ns2.plutohosting.net – 72.29.82.152

ns3.plutohosting.net & ns4.plutohosting.net will no longer be in use, nor work and will just relay the first two nameservers until such a time that we require more servers. If you are using custom nameservers, please update them to the IPs shown above.

If you are pointing to our services via an A record, please point them to the following IP: 72.29.82.150

If you have a dedicated IP with us, please contact us for your new dedicated IP

The planned migration has finished, should you experience any data loss due to DNS cache, please ensure you contact us by the 30th December to retrieve data from the old network. Please also ensure that you are pointing to our new nameserver IPs:

ns2.plutohosting.net – 72.29.82.152
